Former State Tax Auditor And Practice Leader Joins Olivier & Associates
WALL STEET, NY, April 30, 2006 -- Mark L. Stone, CPA, MST, has joined Olivier & Associates as a principal. Stone is a Sales, Use and Transaction Tax specialist, and will lead the Long Island office.
Over the past 15 years, Stone worked as a New York state tax auditor as well as a Practice Leader at a prominent accounting firm.

Stone's responsibilities will include developing creative tax solutions to meet clients' needs, researching complex tax issues, representing clients before various government revenue agencies and auditors, and helping to assure clients' overall Sales
and Use Tax compliance.
Stone will continue to testify in court on behalf of clients as an expert Sales and Use Tax witness, and represent clients at Tax Hearings and Bureau of Conciliation and Mediation Services Conferences.
He is a frequent speaker on Sales and Use Tax topics, and has been published numerous times in various media.
He also serves as an Expert Resource for the media, providing comment, analysis and background for Sales, Use and Transaction Tax articles.
Stone earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Information Systems from City University of New York, and a master's degree in Taxation (with honors) from C.W. Post, Long Island University. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Institute of
Management Accountants (IMA) Long Island Chapter, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the National Conference of CPA Practitioners (NCCPAP), and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
